RYA Training in Warrington, Cheshire RTA is a RYA Registered Training Centre and recognised by the Royal Yachting Association to deliver some shore based courses. We can provide open or on-site competitively priced RYA First Aid courses plus RYA Safe & Fun on-line courses (only £8.50 see below).
The RYA First Aid course fulfils the requirements for:
Professional skippers of small craft working within 60 miles of a safe haven, including Boatmasters; The Senior First Aid certificate needed by offshore racers subject to ISAF's regulations on first aid training (OSR 4.08.4). The RYA First Aid course is recommended by the MCA and HSE. The first aid course is also needed by RYA Instructors. It's an 8 hour course and includes a full colour A4 First Aid book and certification valid for 3 years. The course will be delivered at a suitable venue or if there is a few of you an on-site course could be provided. 14th May 2020 - RYA NEWSFLASH: As a temporary measure we have allowed instructors to extend their RYA first aid certificate by one year from the expiry date following a short update with an RYA First Aid centre. The RYA will also accept
other suitable First Aid certificates , provided an update has been conducted by either the original provider or an RYA First Aid centre. This update may be conducted by web conference. RTA can provide this service to you for a nominal fee, for one or more people.

RYA SAFEGUARDING COURSE - Best value p rice. For only £9.99 RTA can register you for the RYA Safe and Fun online Safeguarding course. RYA Insructor Training: This is a compulsory pre-requisite for all new Dinghy, Multihull, Keelboat and Windsurfing Instructors, Dinghy and Windsurfing Coaches, Senior Instructors and Racing Coaches and is followed up with further training during their instructor training course. Please be aware Safeguarding certificates issued by other organisations will not be accepted for newly qualifying instructor trainees. Should you sign up for this online training we will register you and send you login details normally within 24 hours so you can go on the RYA interactive website - login and complete your training and download your certificate. If you are going on a Instructor course you will need to take a copy of the downloaded certificate. The course is recognised for exisiting coaches and is also beneficial and best practice for other supporting members of your RYA Club / Centre.
RTA have put a lot of people through this award the RYA Interactive system is very easy to use. Shjould for some reason you fail the course exam, you do get a second chance to complete it after further revision.
The RYA Safeguarding course is equivalent to classroom training of approximately three hours but learners can work through the module at their own pace and in short sessions if they wish. It takes about 3 hours as a whole to complete.
